FBL RULES
At all times, the FBL staff reserve the right to take any decision, or make any ruling, that they believe is in the best interests of the competition(s).
ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL
By participating in any of the FBL competitions, clans and their players are agreeing to these rules and any decisions made by the League hosts.
3. GAME FORMAT
3.1 Game length
There will be 8 individual games. 2 games each of US8, UK8 and US9 consisting of a maximum of 8 racks and 2 games of Straight each themselves consisting of two games.
Not all frames in a match have to be completely in the FBL competition. Once a result has been achieved (ie either player has scored 5 racks) the remaining frames need not be played.
Each individual game won by a player scores two points for their team. The losing team scores zero points. For any drawn game each player will score one point each.
3.2 Completion of commenced games
Once started, a game should be played to its conclusion in one sitting unless both players agree to a cessation. Where any player makes a unilateral decision to leave a game then the opposing team may apply for all the remaining unplayed racks to be awarded to them citing the grounds on which the application is made. If the application is successful then this removes any option for the original player to return and finish the remaining racks, or for the use of a substitute under rule 7.5. If the application is not successful then the game returns to the status of a Partially Played Game as per the terms of section 7.
3.3 Game room type
Games can be played as friendlies or ranked but must be mutually agreed. In the event of any dispute between players the games must be friendlies.
3.4 Shot time limit
All games can be played with any shot time limit but must be mutually agreed. If not then games must revert to 20 seconds shot clock.
