GRAND SLAM CUP Rules
At all times, the League staff reserve the right to take any decision, or make any ruling, that they believe is in the best interests of the competition(s).
ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL
By participating in any of the League's competitions, clans and their players are agreeing to these rules and any decisions made by the League hosts.
1. CLAN FORMAT AND REQUIREMENTS
All clan formats and requirements are exactly the same as those that exist for the main FCL competition. Only players registered to a clan at the time a Cup fixture is released may play for that clan in that fixture.
Once a player has played in a Cup match for a clan then they are 'Cup tied' to that clan for the remainder of the competition - regardless of any subsequent clan transfer they may make.
2. FIXTURES
The competition will be a knock-out Cup tournament. Fixtures will be compiled from the team lists submitted by each clan. There will be two weeks in which to complete each Round of the Cup. There will be a Grand Slam Cup Plate Competition for the early Round losing clans. This Plate competition will progress with exactly the same format as the main Grand Slam Cup competition.
3. GAME FORMAT
Each Round will consist of matches that are 8 vs 8
The 8 individual games will be split as follows:-
2 x FCL format games - a maximum of 15 racks in total and 5 racks of each game type (8 Ball, UK8 and 9 Ball)
2 x Super League format games - a maximum of 12 racks in total and 4 racks of each game type (8 Ball, UK8 and 9 Ball) with 'Event Bonuses' available for any Golden Break or Run Out achieved.
1 x FBL format 8 Ball game - a maximum of 10 racks in total
1 x FBL format UK8 Ball game - a maximum of 10 racks in total
1 x FBL format 9 Ball game - a maximum of 12 racks in total
1 x FBL format Straight game - a maximum of 4 games in total
The FCL and SL format games may be played in any mutually agreed Game Type order. However in the event of any dispute or disagreement over the Game Type order then games must be completed in the order of 1) 8 Ball, 2) UK8 Ball and 3) 9 Ball.
4. SCORING SYSTEM
Each individual match will be worth 2 points to the winner and 0 points to the loser. Each player will score 1 point for a drawn match.
Once a result in any of the 8 individual games has been achieved there is no requirement to complete any of the remaining unplayed racks/games.
The first clan to achieve 9 points will proceed to the next Round of the competition. Once a clan has achieved 9 points then there is no requirement to complete any unplayed matches.
In the event of a tied match at 8 points all after all 8 games have been completed in a knock-out match, there will be a tie-break to decide the winner of the match.
Each clan will nominate three players to play one game each of 8 Ball, UK8 and 9 Ball. Each game will consist of 5 racks of that game type. The first clan to win 2 of these games will be the overall winner of the match and advance to the next Round.
5. SUBSTITUTIONS
All rules regarding substitutions will be the same as for the main FBL competition.
6. UNPLAYED GAMES
All rules regarding unplayed games will be the same as for the main FBL competition.
7. PARTIALLY PLAYED GAMES
All rules regarding partially played will be the same as for the main FBL competition.
8. DEFAULTS
All rules regarding defaults will be the same as for the main FBL competition. Any default decision will either result in the award of 2 points to the 'winner' and 0 points to the 'loser' or 1 point to each player.
